Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know — answered with the same care and transparency we bring to every stay.

A note before you read: Maison Rèvive is a private recovery hospitality service, not a licensed medical facility. The nursing support we provide is delivered in a private-duty capacity by licensed professionals. Nothing on this website constitutes medical advice. Please consult your surgeon for all medical guidance related to your procedure and recovery.

About Your Stay

What exactly is Maison Rèvive? +
Maison Rèvive is a luxury post-surgical recovery service located inside the Cameo Hotel in Beverly Hills. We provide private suites with around-the-clock licensed nursing care, wellness therapies, healing-focused meals, and concierge-level coordination — for guests recovering from cosmetic surgery, general medical procedures, or surrogacy delivery. Think of it as Beverly Hills's finest hotel stay, with expert clinical aftercare woven seamlessly into every hour of your day.
How is this different from a recovery house or aftercare facility? +
Most recovery facilities are converted residential homes with shared common areas, shared staff, and a clinical atmosphere that can feel more institutional than restorative. At Maison Rèvive, you are a guest in your own private luxury suite at the Cameo Beverly Hills — a true five-star hotel with daily housekeeping, room service, and full hotel amenities. Each suite is spacious and includes its own generous balcony. There are no shared recovery lounges, no shared common areas reserved only for our guests, and nothing that looks or feels clinical. It is genuine hospitality and genuine nursing support, existing together seamlessly — which is rare, and exactly what makes us different.
What types of procedures do you support? +

We support recovery from a wide range of surgical and medical procedures, including:

  • Cosmetic & plastic surgery: facelifts, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, brow lifts, breast augmentation or reduction, tummy tucks, liposuction, BBL, body contouring, and combined procedures.
  • General surgical recovery: any post-operative recovery requiring skilled nursing care in a private, comfortable setting.
  • Surrogacy recovery: post-delivery care for surrogates, with compassionate clinical support and complete privacy.

If you are unsure whether your procedure is a fit, reach out — we are happy to discuss your specific needs before you book.

How long is a typical stay? +

Stay length depends on your procedure and how your recovery progresses. As a general guide:

  • 3–5 nights: rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, minor facial procedures
  • 5–7 nights: facelift, breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tuck
  • 7–14 nights: combined procedures, body contouring, complex aftercare
  • 14+ nights: extended recovery and aftercare, surrogacy support, complex cases

We always recommend discussing duration with your surgeon first. Our team will help you determine the right length based on your procedure, your comfort, and your recovery progress once you arrive.

Is there a minimum stay requirement? +
Yes — all stays have a 3-night minimum. This ensures that your nursing team has adequate time to establish your care rhythm, monitor your recovery properly, and deliver the depth of attention that Maison Rèvive is built around. In our experience, guests who stay fewer than three nights simply don't get the full benefit of what we offer — and your recovery deserves better than that.
Can I bring a companion or family member? +
Yes, absolutely. Your suite can comfortably accommodate a companion, and they are welcome to stay with you throughout your recovery at no additional suite charge. We do ask that companion presence is discussed when booking so we can ensure the right suite size and care setup. We also offer family communication services through our Recovery Concierge — so loved ones who are not present can receive regular, thoughtful updates on your progress.
What does a typical day look like at Maison Rèvive? +

Every day is shaped around your recovery needs — but as a general picture:

  • Morning: Your nurse conducts a morning assessment — vitals, wound check if applicable, medication review. Breakfast is delivered to your suite, designed around your recovery nutrition plan.
  • Mid-morning: Wellness therapies such as lymphatic drainage or massage (where included or scheduled). Time to rest, read, or simply be still.
  • Afternoon: Any scheduled appointments or follow-up visits are coordinated and transported by your concierge. Lunch and afternoon nourishment delivered to your suite.
  • Evening: Evening nursing check-in, medication management, dinner. Quiet wind-down time — your suite is your sanctuary.
  • Overnight: A nurse is available around the clock. You are never alone, and you never have to wonder whether someone will answer if you need them.

No two days are identical — because no two recoveries are. Your care adapts to you, every single day.

Nursing & Medical Care

What kind of nurses provide care? +
Our nursing team consists of licensed registered nurses (RNs) and licensed vocational nurses (LVNs) with extensive hands-on experience in post-surgical recovery support and guest monitoring. Many of our nurses come directly from our parent practice, Mend & Restore — Greater Los Angeles's trusted mobile wound care service — where they have spent years supporting complex post-operative cases in patients' homes. All nurses are vetted, credentialed, and trained in Maison Rèvive's recovery support standards before joining the team.
Will my surgeon be involved in my care? +
Yes — and proactively so. Before your arrival, we reach out directly to your surgeon's office to obtain your post-operative protocols and confirm care instructions. Throughout your stay, your nursing team follows those protocols exactly and provides regular progress updates to your surgical team. If any concerns arise — however minor — we communicate with your physician immediately. Your surgeon is always informed, always in the loop, and always reachable through us if needed.
Can Maison Rèvive work with my surgeon even if they are not based in Beverly Hills? +
Absolutely. We work with surgeons across Los Angeles and beyond — including those in the San Fernando Valley, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, and practices throughout Southern California. For out-of-town guests, we are experienced in coordinating with surgical teams remotely. All we need is your surgeon's post-operative instructions and a direct contact at their office. The rest, we handle.
What happens if there is a medical emergency? +

Your safety is not a reassurance we offer. It is a protocol we have built, practiced, and take seriously every single day.

Every Maison Rèvive nurse is trained in post-surgical emergency recognition — the signs of complications that matter: abnormal vital sign trends, wound changes, respiratory concerns, circulatory issues, and pain patterns that fall outside expected recovery. We don't wait for something to become an emergency. We identify and act at the earliest signal.

In the event that immediate medical intervention is needed, our protocol is clear and immediate:

  • Step 1: Your nurse activates our emergency response protocol and contacts your surgeon directly.
  • Step 2: If the situation requires emergency services, 911 is called without hesitation.
  • Step 3: You are transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center — one of the most respected hospitals in the United States, and just 6 minutes from the Cameo Beverly Hills. You are never far from world-class emergency care.
  • Step 4: Your family or designated emergency contact is notified immediately. No one is left wondering.

We chose the Cameo Beverly Hills deliberately — not only for its beauty and privacy, but for its location. Six minutes to Cedars-Sinai is not a coincidence. It is part of how we take care of you.

Are your nurses present in the suite at all times, or on call? +
A nurse is present and on-site around the clock — not on call from a separate location. During daytime hours, your nurse conducts regular check-ins, administers medications, and performs any clinical care as part of your daily routine. Overnight, a nurse remains on-site and available the moment you need them. You are never more than a knock or a call away from clinical support — at any hour, without exception.
What if my recovery isn't going as expected — can my care be adjusted? +
Yes — and this is one of the most important things we offer. Your care plan is a living document, not a fixed schedule. If your pain levels change, if swelling is more pronounced than expected, if you're not sleeping well, or if anything simply feels off — your nursing team reassesses and adapts. We communicate any significant changes to your surgeon and adjust your care accordingly. Recovery is not linear. We know that, and we plan for it.

For Physicians

For Surgeons & Referring Physicians

We understand that referring a patient is an act of trust. Here is what you can expect from us.

How does Maison Rèvive work with the referring surgical team? +
We treat the surgical team as the clinical authority throughout every stay. Before a guest arrives, we contact your office to obtain post-operative protocols and confirm specific instructions. We follow those protocols exactly — medications, activity restrictions, wound care, compression guidance, and dietary requirements. Throughout the stay, we provide regular progress updates and reach out immediately if anything warrants your attention. Our goal is to be an extension of your surgical team — not a separate entity.
What are your nurses' clinical qualifications? +
Our nursing team includes licensed RNs and LVNs with specific backgrounds in post-surgical care and wound management. Many come from our affiliated practice, Mend & Restore — a mobile wound care service operating across Greater Los Angeles under physician supervision, with wound-certified nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Our nurses are trained to recognize and respond to post-surgical complications, follow protocol-driven care plans, and communicate clinical concerns with precision. References and credential documentation are available upon request.
Can I contact the nursing team directly during a patient's stay? +
Yes. Every surgeon whose patient is staying with us receives a direct line to the nursing team. We welcome proactive communication and make ourselves available for clinical check-ins, protocol updates, or any concerns that arise. We are not a black box — your patient's care is transparent and collaborative.
How do you handle post-operative wound care? +
Wound care is a particular strength of our team, given our roots in Mend & Restore's mobile wound care practice. We perform dressing changes, monitor incision sites for signs of infection or dehiscence, document wound status with regular photography, and communicate any changes to the surgical team immediately. We follow your specific wound care protocol — not a generic one — and flag anything that falls outside expected healing parameters without delay.
Do you accept patients from surgeons outside Beverly Hills? +
Yes. We work with surgical practices across Los Angeles, including the San Fernando Valley, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, and surrounding areas. For practices considering a referral relationship with Maison Rèvive, we welcome the opportunity to speak directly. Please contact us at hello@maisonrevivebeverlyhills.com or call (310) 731-1010 to arrange a conversation with our clinical team.

Wellness & Nutrition

What kinds of meals are provided? +
All meals are prepared fresh with a healing-first philosophy — high in protein, rich in anti-inflammatory ingredients, and gentle on digestion during recovery. Think broths, lean proteins, omega-rich foods, colorful vegetables, and carefully chosen spices that support healing without causing bloating or inflammation. We avoid processed foods, excess sodium, and anything known to worsen post-surgical swelling. Meals are available around the clock — because recovery doesn't follow a meal schedule.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences? +
Absolutely. We accommodate all dietary restrictions including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, vegetarian, kosher, halal, and allergy-specific requirements. We ask that you share your dietary needs at booking so we can plan accordingly. If your surgeon has specific nutritional guidelines for your procedure, we follow those as part of your care plan.
What is lymphatic drainage and why is it important after surgery? +
Lymphatic drainage is a gentle, specialized massage technique that stimulates the lymphatic system — the body's natural fluid and waste management network. After surgery, the lymphatic system can become overwhelmed, leading to swelling, firmness, and a slower healing process. Regular lymphatic drainage helps move that fluid, reduce inflammation, soften scar tissue, and accelerate the overall healing timeline. It is one of the most evidence-supported complementary therapies in post-surgical recovery, and is included in our Enhanced experience — or available as an add-on for Classic guests.
Are the wellness therapists licensed specialists? +
Yes. All lymphatic drainage and massage therapists who work with Maison Rèvive guests are licensed and specifically trained in post-surgical techniques. Post-surgical massage is a distinct discipline from general massage therapy — it requires knowledge of surgical anatomy, healing stages, and contraindications. Our therapists work in coordination with your nursing team, and no session proceeds without clinical clearance appropriate to your procedure and recovery stage.

Privacy & Logistics

How private is the experience? +
Completely private. There is no signage, no reception desk identifying a recovery service, and nothing that draws attention to your stay. You are a hotel guest in a spacious private suite with a generous balcony — full stop. Our nursing team arrives and departs discreetly. There are no shared recovery lounges, no common areas reserved only for our guests, and no interaction with other guests unless you choose it. When multiple guests stay with us at the same time, suites may be arranged on the same floor for staffing efficiency, but each remains entirely private — no shared spaces between them. We handle all guest information with strict confidentiality, and discretion is treated not as a policy but as a fundamental part of how we operate. Maison Rèvive is a trusted choice for high-profile guests, international visitors, and anyone for whom privacy is non-negotiable.
Can visitors come to see me? +
Yes — visitors are welcome. Because you are staying in a hotel suite, visitors can come and go naturally without any clinical environment to navigate. We simply ask that visits are coordinated around your care schedule and rest needs. Your nurse can help manage visit timing so that your recovery momentum is never disrupted. For guests who prefer complete privacy, we can also politely communicate visit preferences on your behalf.
What about meals and dietary needs? +
See the Wellness & Nutrition section above for full details on our meal program. In short: all meals are fresh, healing-focused, and available 24/7 — customized for your dietary needs and recovery protocol. You also have full access to the Cameo's room service for anything beyond our program.
Do you provide transportation? +
Yes. We arrange private, discreet transportation for airport arrivals, surgeon follow-up appointments, pharmacy visits, imaging, and any other needs during your stay. Private transportation is included in every stay — Classic and Enhanced alike. Every driver is briefed on the nature of your recovery and the importance of a smooth, comfortable ride — no rushing, no unnecessary stops.
I am traveling from outside the United States. Can you support international guests? +
Yes — and we do so regularly. Beverly Hills is a destination for international patients seeking world-class surgical care, and Maison Rèvive is designed to serve them. We handle airport arrivals and departures, surgeon coordination across time zones, pharmacy coordination for medications, and all logistics from the moment you land. Our concierge is experienced in supporting guests for whom English may not be their first language, and we can arrange translation support when needed. If you are traveling internationally, we recommend booking 4–6 weeks in advance to allow time for full pre-arrival coordination.

Booking & Payment

How far in advance should I book? +
We recommend booking as soon as your surgery date is confirmed — ideally 3–4 weeks in advance. This gives our team time to contact your surgeon's office, build your personalized care plan, and secure the right suite for your needs. That said, we understand that surgery schedules can be confirmed quickly, and we always do our best to accommodate short-notice bookings. If your procedure is in the next few days, please call us directly at (310) 731-1010 rather than waiting for an email response.
What information do I need to provide when booking? +

To prepare your care plan fully, we will ask for:

  • Procedure details: what surgery you are having, your surgeon's name and practice, and your anticipated surgery date.
  • Medical history: relevant health history, current medications, allergies, and any conditions that may affect your recovery.
  • Care preferences: dietary requirements, mobility considerations, companion arrangements, and any personal preferences for your suite.
  • Emergency contact: a designated person we can reach on your behalf if needed.

All information is held in strict confidence and used solely to provide you with the best possible care.

Does insurance cover the stay? +
Maison Rèvive is a privately funded service, and we do not bill insurance directly. However, we provide detailed documentation of nursing care and medical services rendered — which some guests have successfully submitted to their insurance provider for partial reimbursement of the clinical care components. We recommend speaking with your insurance provider before booking to understand what may be eligible. We are happy to provide whatever documentation would support your claim.
Do you offer payment plans or financing options? +
We understand that a Maison Rèvive stay is a meaningful investment. Please reach out to discuss payment arrangements that work for your situation — we handle all financial conversations with the same discretion and care we bring to everything else. Contact us at hello@maisonrevivebeverlyhills.com or call (310) 731-1010.
What is your cancellation policy? +

We understand that surgery dates shift — sometimes unexpectedly. Our policy is designed to be as fair as possible while protecting the care resources we reserve for each guest:

  • 7+ days before arrival: Full refund of any deposit paid.
  • 3–6 days before arrival: 50% of the deposit is retained to cover care preparation costs.
  • Less than 72 hours: Deposit is non-refundable, though we will always work with guests on a case-by-case basis for genuine medical emergencies.

If your surgery is rescheduled rather than cancelled, we will always do our best to transfer your booking to the new date without penalty.
